Summer Fling is a playful beer label concept created in response to a packaging brief for Billy’s Brew. The brief called for a fun, eye catching label, and I decided to lean into one of my strengths as an illustrator to create a bold character driven design.

Inspired by Noosa's relaxed coastal lifestyle, I developed a cheeky goldfish character wearing oversized pink sunglasses and bright pink lips, swimming through an ocean of vibrant colour and surrounded by love hearts. The character and playful visual language were designed to communicate the carefree feeling of a summer fling while helping the label stand out on the shelf.

I also wanted to bring a tactile element to the design, using blue foil on the Summer Fling lettering as a finishing embellishment. This adds a subtle sense of premium quality while reinforcing the aquatic theme.

The final design combines illustration, colour and playful typography to create a distinctive label with a fun, summery personality. This project allowed me to explore how my illustration style can be applied to commercial packaging and used to create a memorable visual identity for a product.
